Good luck. It can't be done, because they're different creatures. "Square meter" is a unit of area, as of a sheet of paper or a plot of land. "Meter" is a unit of length or distance, as of a piece of rope or a trip to the next city. The two units have different physical dimensions, they're used to describe the measurements of completely different types of quantities, and neither one can be converted to the other one. If units of area could be converted to units of length, then it would be possible for you to calculate how many acres (or hectares) tall you are, and how many inches (or centimeters) the rug in your bedroom covers.
