Most of the islands that are listed as being in The Northwest Territories are in Nunavut as of 12 years ago. The arctic archipelago in Nunavut is famous for having over 36,000 islands. i live on a peninsula on the east coast of nova scotia, in the same municipality as "Sable island", listed above. when i look out the window I see the water, and across a short expanse of that water there is another peninsula, 10 minutes away. There are more than 127 islands just between here and there. in the coves and bays which lie within a 30 minute drive of my house there are several hundred more islands. Islands with names, covered in camps, houses, graveyards, old forts and lighthouses.
