Not all quaderilaterals satisfy this statement. Those quaderil;aterals that satisfy 'two pairs of parallel sides' are , a square, a rectangle, and a rhombus. Those quaderilaterals that do NOT satify ' two pairs of parallel sides' are, a trapezium, a kite, and an irregular shaped quaderilateral.
I believe that is a parallelogram.
The quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides
A quadrilateral with congruent pairs of adjacent sides and no parallel sides is a kite.
A quadrilateral has 4 sides, 2 in which never intersect. Therefore, the lines that don't intersect are called parallel. There are 4 parallel sides but has 2 pairs of parallel sides.
I would be seriously concerned if a quadrilateral had more than two pairs of opposite sides parallel! A quadrilateral with two pairs of opposite sides parallel is a parallelogram.
A rectangle is a parallelogram, with the opposite sides parallel. However, a rectangle MUST have four (90 degree) right angles.
quadrilateral
A quadrilateral has four sides and four vertices but no sides need to be parallel although they can be.
A quadrangle (or quadrilateral) that has two pairs of parallel sides is called a parallelogram.
