Let the height be (x +7) and the width be x:
height*width*length = volume
(x+7)*x*27 = 7020 cubic inches
Divide both sides by 27:
(x+7)*x = 260
x2+7x = 260
x2+7x-260 = 0
Solving the above quadratic equation works out as:
x = -20 or x = 13 it must be the latter because dimensions can't be negative.
Therefore: height = 20 inches and width = 13 inches
Check: 20*13*27 = 7020 cubic inches
