well one way to do it would be to to take your total area and divide it by the measurement of one side. for istance my property is 200 feet wide and i own 3 acres of land. an acre is 43560 sqare feet. 43560sqft X 3 acres is 130,680 square ft. so to find how far back my property line is i take 130,680 sqft divided by 200 feet across=?

my back property line is aproximately 653.4 feet back from the front property line... sheesh

Multiply the length by the width.

You want to convert an area into a length or distance. That is not possible.

You cannot convert a square measurement to a linear measurement. 110 sq. ft. is a square measurement. Yards is a linear measurement (=3 feet).

You can convert from linear feet to linear yards and multiply, or you can multiply the linear feet and then divide by 9 square feet per square yard. 60 feet = 20 yards (because there are three feet to the yard) 12 feet = 4 yards 20 x 4 = 80 square yards === === 60' x 12' = 720 square feet 720/9 = 80 square yards

You cannot convert area to linear measurement.

You don't. You can't convert that.

There is no way to convert linear feet to square feet because the unit 'linear feet' measures length but the unit 'square feet' measures area.

To convert linear feet to square feet, you need the area these feet are covering. If itβs a square area, you would square the linear measurement (0.333 x 0.333) to get 0.111 square feet.

That is impossible, because linear miles are a 'length' and square feet cover an 'area'.

You don't convert that. It just doesn't make sense.

Square feet is a measure of area and linear feet is a measure of length. You cannot convert between the two.

Not possible to convert a linear measure to an area measure.

You cannot. Linear feet are a measure of distance, square feet are a measure of area. The two measure different things and it makes no sense to try to convert from one to the other.
