A Hybrid Function is two normal functions joined together.

For example, Jenning goes for a jog every morning, after 30 constant joggin 5km/hr, she walks home at a speed of 1 km/hr taking 2.5 hrs. Graph her distance Jenning is from home.

ok so we will have 1 line of the formula y = 5x (y being distance in kilometres and x being time in hours), and another of the line of y = 1x + 3

therefore the hybrid formula would be

/ = 5x , 0.5 >= x >= 0

f(x) {

\ = x + 3 , 5 >= x >= 0.5

notes: usually the { is is bigger

the bit after the comma is the range that each formula applies to.
