that depends whether it is a drawing or real life egg. If it were a drawing then it would be 2D, but if you are talking about a real life egg then yes it is 3D
a 3d oval is called an ovoid and it looks like a type of egg
Examples of 3D shapes are all around, a milk bottle, a box of matches, an egg, to name but three.
-1
Its a 3d net that can be transformed into a 3d shape
3d.
Example is an egg
The shape of an egg.
A 3d oval is called an ovoid. Egg would work as well

Ellipsoid, Ovoid, Prolate Spheroid, Spheroid

arwen
It's an ovoid, not an ellipsoid as some may think.
Its called a 'yolk' inside the egg you get from the shops, if its rare it not yellow its a orange colour. And like a oval 3D shape.
I would call it an elliptical spheroid, I think. An ellipse would be the closest 2D term though.
In science, a three-dimensional oval is called an ovoid. Less formally, a three-dimensional oval shape is called an egg.
