A median is a line drawn from the centre of a side of a triangle to the opposite vertex.

Only in two cases does it also bisect the angle :-

1) All three medians of an equilateral triangle bisect the angle of the opposite vertex.

2) One median (from the unequal side to the enclosed angle of the two equal sides) bisects the angle of the opposite vertex.

Can a median be an angle bisector and not a perpendicular bisector?

Yes.

Is the angle bisector also the median in an equilateral triangle?

No. The angle bisector is a line. Where the three lines meet is the median. In an equilateral triangle the INTERSECTION of the angle bisectors is the median.

What is the difference between altitude angle bisector and median?

The altitude is the segment from an angle of a triangle to the side opposite of the angle which is intersected perpendicularly by the altitude., the angle bisector cuts an angle into two congruent angles, and a median forms two congruent line segments.

What triangle has an altitude which is also a median and angle bisector?

An isosceles or an equilateral triangle perhaps?

Is it possible for an angle bisector to be the same line as a median?

Yes. In an isosceles or equilateral triangle, it always is.

Is this true If a median an altitude and an angle bisector are the same segment in a triangle the triangle is scalene?

No, it's not true.

If a point is equidistant from the two sides of an angle then it is?

on the perpendicular bisector

What is the difference between and angle bisector and a perpendicular bisector?

An angle bisector bisects an angle. A perpendicular bisector bisects a side.

Does rhombus have angle bisector?

Any shape which has an angle can have an angle bisector.

The point of concurrency of the medians of a triangle?

the centroid. here are all the points of concurrency: perpendicular bisector- circumcenter altitudes- orthocenter angle bisector- incenter median- centroid hope that was helpful :)

What are the difference between perpendicular lines and a perpendicular bisector?

A perpendicular bisector goes through the median of the line while a perpendicular line can be anywhere on the line as long as it is at a 90 degree angle.
