My son died from an acute thrombosis and I just found out he also drank NyQuil to try to sleep when he got home from using cocaine. Could this have caused him to die from an acute thrombosis.?

omg, i feel for your loss.
The truth is it is really hard to tell with drugs like cocaine, the reason being that you never know what they have been 'cut' with.
every dealer will mix things like baking soda, sugar, aspirin things like that into it in order to increase profits.
I knew someone who bought some and it had been mixed with AJAX a strong powdered bleach, immediatly after consuming it he started bleeding from the ears and nostrils and tear ducts.
Taking a sleeping seditive is always risky, because you have just told your body to go into overdrive with cocaine, but then telling it to slow down by taking the sleeping seditive.
I'm not a doctor or an expert, but not knowing what was in the mix of the cocaine ( what it was cut with ) it's a serious gamble mixing anything else into it like a sleeping sedative.
