In the UK, a trapezium is a quadrilateral that has two parallel sides, which is the American definition for a trapezoid. But the American term trapezium means a quadrilateral with no parallel sides. Being in the U.S., I don't remember trapezium ever being referred to in Geometry class (but it has been awhile).
