Look around you. Anything flat represents a plane geometric surface. Plane here means two dimensional; having length and width but not depth.

The glass in the window, the top of the table or any other FLAT surface regardless of its shape. It can be square, rectangular, round triangular or duodecahedronal, so long as it is flat it is a plane geometry surface.
