In taxicab geometry, the distance between two points is called the taxi distance.

The formula for it is

(Absolute value of x base 1 - x base 2)+(Absolute value of y base 1 - y base 2)

Lets say you have to find the distance between these two pair of points

(2,3) and (3,5)

(Absolute value of 2-3)+(Absolute value of 3-5)

(1)+(2)

The Taxidistance is 3

hope this helped...
