Area of ABC = (1/2) x AC x BD
= (1/2) x 6 x 2
= 6 cm2
but i am not very happy with this question. it says circum circle and according to it it should not be 2 cm it should be 3cm coz the third vertex also touches the circle. well, if we have to find the ans we have to opt this way. this question has come n no: of times in cbse under 1mk section but whenever i see this question i rate it "Lame" . lol, it might contain some argument but i am still not clear. if anyone can tell me abt my prob ill be very thankful

I am guessing you mean a right angled triangle. The hypotenuse is the longest side on a right angled triangle. So it is the side facing / parallel to the right angle.
None. A hypotenuse is the longest side in a right angled triangle.
The side opposite the right angle of a triangle is the hypotenuse which is the longest side
The altitude/height of an equilateral triangle can be calculated by taking the perpendicular bisector of any side. This line will bisect its opposite angle forming two congruent right angled triangles. The side length of the original equilateral triangle is the hypotenuse and the short leg of right angled triangle is half the hypotenuse. By Pythagoras' Theorem : 42 = 22 + L2.........where L is the length of the altitude. L2 = 42 - 22 = 16 - 4 = 12 L = √12 = 2√3 = 3.464 (3dp)
The area of a right-angled triangle with base 8 cm and hypotenuse 10 cm is: 24 cm2
right angled
The hypotenuse is the longest side of a right angled triangle.
By definition, the hypotenuse is the side opposite the right angle in a right angled triangle. Therefore, a hypotenuse does not exist as one of the three sides in a non-right angled triangle.
A hypotenuse is the long side of a right triange.
the hypotenuse. If it is a right angled triangle

The longest side in a right angled triangle is called a hypotenuse.
The circumradius of a right angled triangle would be equal to half the length of its hypotenuse.
If the hypotenuse and one leg of a right angled triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and leg of another right angled triangle, then the two triangles are congruent.
None. A hypotenuse is the longest side in a right angled triangle.
Yes the Hypotenuse is the longest side in a right angled triangle, the hypotenuse is always opposite the right angle.
