If I rememember my geometry correctly, the circumference (C) of a circle is defined by the equation C=2r(pi), where r=the radius of the circle. So:
13.4=2r(pi)
13.4/pi = 2r divide each side of the equation by pi
13.4/3.14 = 2r substitute the rough equivalent value of pi into the equation.
divide to find the value of 2r.
given that the diameter (d) of a circle = 2r, you have your answer.
*** I'm sorry, but it HAS been a while since I've had to compute diameters and I DID originally have the wrong equation. The answer as currently written IS correct, however.
If the diameter of a circle is 69mm then the circumference is: 216.8mm (diameter x pi = circumference).
The circumference of a circle if the diameter is 12cm is 37.7cm
The circumference of a circle with a diameter of 6cm is about 18.85cm
The circumference of a circle 14' in diameter is about 43.98'
The circumference of a circle with a diameter of 51m is: 160m
If the diameter of a circle is 69mm then the circumference is: 216.8mm (diameter x pi = circumference).
Diameter of a circle = circumference/pi
Diameter of a circle = circumference/pi
The circumference of a 13.5 diameter circle is: 42.41(diameter x pi = circumference).
If a circle has a circumference of 8 the diameter is: about 2.546 (circumference divided by pi = diameter).
If a circle has a diameter of 19, the circumference is: 59.7 (diameter x Pi = circumference)
The circumference of any circle is (pi) x (its diameter). If diameter = 1 then Circumference = pi .
The circumference of a circle if the diameter is 12cm is 37.7cm
The circumference of a circle with a diameter of 6cm is about 18.85cm
The circumference of a circle 14' in diameter is about 43.98'
A circle with a circumference of 11.25 has a diameter of: 3.581
The circumference of a circle with a diameter of 25 is: 78.54
