The term for the relationship between the distance on the map and actual distance is the "scale"
For example, the scale may be 1 inch equals 10 miles.
So for every inch on the map it relates to 10 miles in the real world.
The scale is usually shown in the bottom right corner of the map.
7/14
divide gallons per hour by 60
Multiply meters per minute by 3.28 to get feet per minute.
Formula: quarts per minute x 15 = gallons per hour
3.79*2=7.58
10.00 - 7.58 = 2.42 answer.
14 boys are in the class
20 cups
The ration of girls to boys is 21:6
To simplify this divide both numbers by 3 = 7:2
9*3=27
9*3=27
1::2 is the simplest form...
miles per hour x 88 = feet per minute: 50 x 88 = 4,400 feet per minute.
63/79 it can't be simplified any further
That depends on the scale of the map.
360 miles in 6 hours
780 miles in 3 days = 260 miles per day.
12.064 = 1508/125 as a fraction in its simplest form
There cannot be a "proportion of something": proportion is a relationship between two things, and how you solve it depends on whether they (or their transformations) are in direct proportion or inverse proportion.
