What does quantitative observation mean
Quantitative observation means that your description of what you observed
includes a definite number that you measured.
For example:
"I saw a really big guy." is not a quantitative observation.
"I saw a guy who is 8 feet tall." is a quantitative observation.
What are units of acceleration
Acceleration has units of speed / time. The standard SI-unit is
meter/second/second, usually written as meter/second2. Other units
of distance/time/time can also be used, but it is convenient (for
equations) to use a set of consistent units.
How long is 1 second on Pluto
It is the same 1 second we have on Earth.
What is quantitative description
A quantitative description is a purley numerical description. A
qualitative description is a purely narrative description.
Which of the following is a unit of volume
Just about any cubic characteristic: cubic millimeter, mile,
yard, foot, parsec, etc.
What type of quantity do the following unit indicate cm
That is a unit of length - 1/100 of a meter.
What physical property do objects that attract iron have
How do scientists communicate data accurately with one another
They use a universal system of units.
What is the Formula for finding density of an 3D object
Density of an object is defined as (mass)/(volume).
How many centigrams are 6 g equal to
1g = 100cg
6g x 100cg/g = 600cg
What type of observation is made up of descriptive words
What tool would be the best in measuring the circumference of your waist
What are characteristics that describe the ability of a substance to form a new substance
Are kilometers unit of mass would be best to weigh a heavy suitcase
What chemical property describes how well things burn
This property is flammability.
Which of the following units would you use to describe your height Choose all that apply A feet and inches B pounds and ounces C meters and centimeters D cups and pints
Height is measured in
- feet and inches, or
- meters and centimeters
What type of data do you need to find the density of an object
Density is defined by dividing mass by volume; that's also how
it is usually calculated.
What tool do you use to measure how hot water is
A thermometer is used to measure the temperature of hot
water.
What prefix would be used to show that a unit is 100 times smaller than si unit without prefix
What temperature scale shows water freezing at 0
It is the Celsius temperature scale
What kind of observation describes the color of a car
What tools would you use to find the height of a chimney
