What is an abstract

Abstract Art

In the same way, the artistic term abstract means "apart from existence." It applies to art (paintings, sculpture) where images and forms represent an object or concept but may not look like them. Sometimes the actual meaning makes sense only to the person who created it (as with an abstract painting and its artist). A painting or sculpture can be referred to as an abstract.

Abstract Nouns

A noun for something that we cannot see, touch or feel is an abstract noun. It refers to concepts or emotions, such as fear, joy, fairness, evil, or confusion.

An Abstract

The noun 'abstract' is a word for a summary of the contents of a book, article, or formal speech. For example, online search engines sometimes show the full-text of an article and its abstract.
