What is negation
Negation is the opposite of something actual or positive. The
negation of a true statement will be false. The negation of a false
statement will be true.
How do you knit a 8x8 square
Knit a sample first. Cast on and knit with twenty stitches to
start, and knit until it's a few inches long. Measure your
knitting. Let's say it's four inches wide. Divide twenty stitches
by four inches, and that means that for every five stitches you
knit, you've got one inch. Multiply that by eight and cast on. Knit
until it's eight inches long. You could do the same for
centimeters, just measure and calculate in cm.
A triangular plot of land has sides that measure 5 meters 7 meters and 10 meters What is the area of this plot of land to the nearest tenth of a square meter
The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 84 feet the length of the garden is twice the width
If the perimeter is 84 feet and the length is twice the width,
then the length will be 28 feet and the width will be 14 feet.
How many square feet are 51 inches wide x 30 inches long
51 inches wide x 30 inches long = 10.625 square feet.
Give you two sentence with built
The construction company Taylor Wimpy built my new house.
He built his reputation by helping those less fortunate than
himself.
The perimeter of a garden is 52 feet What is the length of each side
The perimeter of square garden is 52 feet. What is the length of
each side?
How do you find the value of ''X'' for each pair of similar figures
What is the total size of a picture if it is 80 centimeters by 50 centimeters
The SAS Similarity Theorem states that if an angle of one triangle is to an angle of another triangle and if the lengths of the sides including these angles are proportional then the
Is All isosceles triangles are similar true or false
Can two rectangles have the same area but different lengths and widths
Yes. Consider a 2 x 6 and a 3 x 4
What describes an indirect proof
Assume a statement true and then show it must be false
What are the steps to writing an Indirect Proof in Geometry
- Identify the conjecture to be proven.
- Assume the opposite of the conclusion is true.
- Use direct reasoning to show that the assumption leads to a contradiction.
- Conclude that the assumption is false and hence that the original conjecture must be true.
What is the Exterior Angle Theorem for a Triangle
An exterior angle of a triangle is equal in measure to the sum
of the other two interior angles.
Which term best describes a proof in which you assume the opposite of what you what to prove
Proof in which one assumes the opposite of what you have to
prove is indirect proof. In indirect proof a person can draw a
conclusion from assuming the opposite is true and then find a
conclusion.
What is the relationship between a millimeter and a kilometer
How many distinct equilateral triangles with a perimeter of 60 units have integer side lengths
There is only one equilateral triangle with a perimeter of 60
units. Its side lengths are integers.
Is this statement true or false corresponding sides of similar triangles have the same measure
False because although the angles are the same the sides are
proportional by ratio to each other.
what- The ratio of the base to the height of a roof is 26:5. The base is 42 feet longer than the height. What are the base and height of the roof
