Depends how strong they are. i'd say average 1000-2000 tablets, but i think i have seen even 1000mg tablets, those you would need "only" 500.
However, MUCH less is needed to do serious damage and long, extremely painful death, so be careful.
This would be one of the stupidest ways to try to kill yourself, dont even think about it.
Look at the label on your prescription. It probably says something like 5/500. The 5 represents 5 mg of vicodin and the 500 represents 500 mg of acetaminophen. The maximum daily dose of acetamiophen for adults is 4 grams (4000 mg).
500 mg = 0.5 g
5 Mg of Hydrocodone and 500 Mg of Acetaminophen(Tylenol)
Tylenol contains acetaminophen. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen must not exceed 4000 mg ('daily' means 24 hours). It is not recommended to take more than 1000 mg of acetaminophen at a time. The interval between 1000 mg doses should be about 6 hours. 500 mg doses can be taken more frequently, e.g. every four hours. Each Tylenol 500 gelcap, etc, contains 500 mg of pure acetaminophen. So, the daily maximum is 8 doses of Tylenol 500, not more than two doses at a time. The less, the better, as acetaminophen is not good for the liver.
Each tablet contains: No. 3 Codeine Phosphate...................................................................30 mg Acetaminophen................................................................................... 300 mg No. 4 Codeine Phosphate...................................................................60 mg Acetaminophen................................................................................... 300 mg
18 grams = 18,000 mg 18,000 / 500 = 36 pills
500 mg is the abbreviation for 500/1,000 of a gram. Divide 500 by 1,000 to convert this amount to grams. 500 mg = 0.5 grams.
I' m thinking this must be a prank question. As a nurse we are instructed to tell our patients to limit acetaminophen to 4 grams/day due to it's toxicity to the liver. If someone is taking 10 vicodin at a time they would have exceeded the maximum in just a single dose, with 10 vicodin each containing 500 mg acetaminophen yielding, 5000 mg which is equal to 5 grams. This person should be on there way to the ED
M363 Vicodin is a 10 mg / 500 mg hydrocodone / acetaminophen.
1000 milligrams = 1 gram so 500*1000 mg = 500*1000/1000 grams = 500 grams.
extra strength (500 mg) Tylenol (acetaminophen)
