Iorn Mike at 122 mph
Fastball, Curveball, Changeup, Slider, Cutter, 2-Seamer. In his prime his fastball was about 92-93 MPH. His big, 12-6 curve was the what he was famous for....during the late 90s it was probably the best curveball in the game. His threw it about 70 MPH. The rest of his pitches were pretty average, but his fastball and that curveball were more than enough.
Casey Fossums eephus was clocked at 49 mph in 2006 However, he has a regular fastball. Tim Wakefield, a knuckleballer, has a fastball that hits in the high 70's. He is the slowest pitcher in Major League Baseball on a regular basis.
A 100.9 mph pitch would reach homeplate in .41 seconds. A 90 mile per hour fastball would take an extra .04 seconds.
P=mv mass=0.156 kg (5 oz troy) velocity= 144.84 m/s (90 mph) m*v=0.156kg * 144.84 m/s P=22.6kg m/s
About .43 seconds. Although shorter of a time for that batter to decide whether or not to swing.

Not consistently.
93 MPH
about 0.4 seconds 90 feet from pitcher to batter --> no, it is 90 feet along the base paths, but it is 63.6396 feet from the pitcher's mound to home plate 100 MPH = 146.666667 Feet Per Second 63.6396 ft / 146.6667 ft/s = 0.4339 seconds = time pitched ball to reach batter so if you factor in that the batter has to first see the ball, detect its a fastball, recognize its location, and if in the strike zone, attempt to hit it (all in less than a second), you can probably agree: "man, these guys are good"

No. Only a very few of them can throw 100 mph. They don't exceed 100 mph by much - 101, 102 is tops. Most of them throw a fastball in the 90's, and a few have a fastball in the 80's.
