If you are kind of depressed then you will probably say no because you will focus on those things like 'the world is going to end in 2012, because the Mayan calendar stops!' or 'the world is going to end because planet X is on its way!'. But think about it this way, if the world is going to end so soon, why are you bothering to worry about it? If life is soon to end then you should be living it to the full.
If you are optimistic about life then obviously your answer will be 'Yes, Of Course'. so there is nothing to worry about.
So, in the end I think that there is hope for mankind.
