He married in 1814, on 27th July when he was only 23 years old- his wife was Georgiana Whitmore, and they lived at Dudmaston Hall in Shropshire before moving to the Portland Place region of London. They produced eight children, but only four of these survived.

Georgiana died on the first day of September 1827- two of her sons, as well as Charles's father, died the same year. Babbage never married again, and died on 18th October 1871 at the age of 79.

Answer:

Georgiana Whitmore at St. Michael's Church in Teignmouth, Devon, London, UK.

Answer:

Charles Babbage began dating Georgiana Whitmore while he was attending Cambridge University. They married on July 25, 1814, despite Babbage's father's disapproval. Benjamin, the elder Babbage, was a banker who believed his son should establish himself financially before getting married. Charles, then 23, and Georgiana, 22, ignored his advice. They eloped to Teignmouth, Devon, where they married at St. Michael's Church.
