In answering this question, I would call your attention to pp. 261-262 of the Alpha Phi Alpha history book. And I quote James White, Jr., Alpha Phi Alpha, Epsilon Chapter, April 14, 1973:"To the Alpha Phi Alpha brotherhood, African history and civilization, the Sphinx, an Ethiopian tradition bring new meanings and these are being interpreted with new significance to others. As Americans of European parentage point with pride to the ancestral history of their people, so Alpha Phi Alpha would have the Negroes of America look with pride upon African civilization with its kingdoms, its governments and its laws, its social institutions, its buildings and roads, and its evidences of indigenous progress, unaffected as it was, by outside influences."
The most important secret of Alpha Phi Alpha is the oath of secrecy. So if there are answers to this question, then I would not put too much value in the information you are receiving. You have to love the internet!
Do you really think a member would tell you a true answer? If you want to know pledge, but by the way your asking this your to much of a GDI to be a real Pike
Alpha Kappa Alpha technically is NOT Masonic considering that only men can be Masonic, but considering that Ethel Hedgemen Lyle was dating George Lyle (Beta Charter member of the Howard University chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated), I would say yes. It was through him and his involvement through A Phi A that she came up with the idea of creating a sorority (along with the staff member from Howard who encouraged her). So yes. AKA is Masonic. Its ritual is at the related link below.

Alpha rex means the first letter of the greek alphabet, alpha, and the ending part of the dinosaur, rex. Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, but is colloquially accepted as representing the first of something. REX is Latin for King. So a literal translation of the phrase Alpha Rex would be "First King".
The opposite of an Alpha is an Omega. The counterpart to an Alpha male would of course be an Alpha Female.
The omega would probably advance to the alpha male
