Spell it right, it"s Noel. Originally an Old French word for(Night) it is presently the idiomatic term for Christmas, and is used in Christmas cards, songs (of course) and so on , also both a male and female prename. The Song has a number of historical errors and is the only RELIGIOUS Christmas carol which seems to IMPLY that the First Christmas was (White)- the lyrics describes the shepherds keeping their sheep, on a Cold winter"s night that was so DEEP. Whoever heard of a night being DEEp- But Snow is!

Nowell is written in text. Cut the pejorative.
