Mao Ze Dong spread communism around China. The large peasant mass was fed up with Jiang Jie Shi (Chiang Kai Shek), as he was being greedy and unfair. Chiang Kai Shek only cared about the rich, and was biased. Mao Ze Dong offered a better alternative, and he was from the same background. He was promising and dedicated. The reason why the Communists won is because the peasant population overpowered the rich, and they were so driven. Then Chiang Kai Shek fled to Taiwan, with nowhere else to go. Chiang Kai Shek always planned to conquer mainland China again, but he never succeeded. His son was supposed to fulfill his dying wishes, but he was unable to, as well.
I know all of this because I studied Chinese history.
Communists
the communist party gained support of the peasant class during the long march
Chinese peasants supported the communists and Mao Zedong primarily because the communists promised land reforms and an end to the feudal system, which directly addressed their economic hardships. In contrast, the Nationalists under Chiang Kai-shek were seen as corrupt and largely focused on urban elites, often neglecting the needs of rural populations. Additionally, the communists effectively mobilized peasant support through grassroots organizing and by promoting social equality, which resonated deeply with the agrarian majority. This combination of land promises and grassroots appeal ultimately swayed peasant loyalty towards the communists.
A large part of the peasantry disliked the Communists, but they saw no point in supporting the Whites, who they feared would restore the monarchy. The industrial workers entertained no hope from the Whites, who had shown no understanding of city workers.
Absolutely not - On the contrary, they were the guerilla, civilian peasant farmers who took up weapons against American troops in support of the communists, alongside the NVA, or north Vietnamese army/
The Communists had several advantages over the Nationalists in the Chinese Civil War, most notably their ability to mobilize and maintain strong peasant support, which provided them with a substantial base of manpower and resources. Additionally, they received significant military and logistical support from the USSR, enhancing their capabilities. The Communists also effectively utilized guerrilla warfare tactics, which allowed them to outmaneuver and surprise the Nationalists, particularly after breaking their alliance. These factors combined to give the Communists a strategic edge in the conflict.
Because Germany had gone into a depression and the people began to support the radical Nazis and communists instead of the failing democacy.
