a squid's body shape is an oval with a pointy top and the fins are curved triangles attached to the body. the head is mostly round and 10 tenticles are atached to the head on the bottom and the body on the top. tenticles are almost as long as the body and they have suckers on them. but there are 2 big tenticals that are longer than the regular tenticals and have big half ovals on the end. they also have suckers on them.
Well, it's not really just one shape...but it does look much like an ordinary squid, except all of it's tentacles are connected by a "web" of sorts...basically, just a thin layer of skin, much like the webbing between your fingers. It's head also tends to be more egg-shaped than the traditional squid.

Oval with Squiggles (the tentacles)
Inside the squid is a "bone", that is clear and has a plastic feel. It's shape is similar to a quill, and so, if someone says a squid quill, this is most likely what they are referring to.
the shape of the squid helps it to gild through the water quickly.
Calamari is indeed a squid. It is round because the body of a squid is round and once you slice it, it looks a lot like onion rings.
The squid has a special "engine" that runs on oil from the ocean floor and comes out when the squid wants to move. With this it is able to move at speeds up to 115mph.
An octopus is capable to streamlining its body when on the move. A squid, on the other hand, is usually always in a streamlined shape on account of having bones.
