Im an Oncologist in a New York hospital. I started off making 250k my first year. Its my second year and i make 410k a year. My wife is a orthodontists an started making 360k a year and now makes about 500k so that job is better because it makes alot more, you still help people and are a docter and dont have to worry about people dieing. So I recomend that job. Edit:

Wow, not sure who the person who wrote the above was but I can assure you they aren't a gyn onc, based on the misspelling of 'orthodontist', 'a lot', 'doctor', 'dying', and 'recommend'. As an MSIV (fourth year med student and someone who actually knows), I would agree with the salary figures, but question the authenticity of the author.

In new york they make any where from 260,000 to 280,000
