Is it common for a narcissist to do drastic things to avoid seeing or hearing proof of something he's accused you of and claimed he wanted proof of?

Many narcissistic people are perfectionists ... everything has it's place. Yes, it's possible that even though you've shown proof this person isn't going to accept it. Their way is the right way and if you say the sky is blue they will say it's dark blue. Good luck Marcy OMG! Does your narcissist demand "proof" of things too! It's almost like they are all the same person. They even use the same language to describe things! These demands for proof just had me confounded for the longest time. What a lot of nonsense. Yes, of course they'll try to avoid seeing or believing the proof, or they will try to reinterpret everything to avoid it. Mine wanted to recreate the alphabet because I told him he was a poor speller.
