Catnip is a type of mint and rubbing or sniffing catnip gives them a sort of high (it is not dangerous though). It is not really known why it effects cats in the way it does, but it is due to a chemical called Nepetalactone that is released from the plant when a cat rubs, chews or otherwise "bruises" the leaves.
There is speculation that it may mimic a cat pheromone, but this has yet to be proven.
Yes catnip makes cats go crazy, for the most part. My cat loves catnip so much that he likes to rub his face in it and try to eat it. It's so funny! I love giving it to him. When he has some he jumps really high after his toy mouse.

A lot of people know catnip is a drug for cats it'll make them hyper or make them sleepy
Catnip is what will make your cat hyper. Catnip affects the majority of cats like a drug (some refuse to eat it or are unaffected by it.) Cat grass is also known as wheat grass and it is eaten by cats for roughage; many owners use it indoors so their cats won't eat their house plants. Some cats have symptoms from catnip other than being "hyper" - acted sedated, or seeming to hallucinate (chasing invisible things, being spooked by nothing, etc.) But catnip doesn't seem to have any ill effects. Cat grass is recommended for a cat's digestive health.
There are many materials that are needed to make catnip treats for cats. Examples of materials that are needed to make catnip treats for cats include soil, water, and sun.
I don't really understand what you mean, but catnip makes a cat hyper. I don't think sour things will make a cat hyper.
There is an oil in the plant that catnip originates from that cats are extremely susceptible to. The smell of the catnip, or the plant, causes cats to behave in a certain manner. Therefore, catnip becomes a natural addition for cats.
Because cats biochemistry and physiology are different from other groups of animals. Catnip doesn't actually only work on cats! Some dogs like catnip too! And catnip doesn't work on all cats, only about 2/3 of them like it.

Some cats really like catnip.
Catnip is a intoxicant used to make a cat get silly or playful, kind of like marijuana for cats. Catnip is used for the cat to play with or chew on depending on whether it is fresh or dry. You can sprinkle catnip on top of cat food in order to get the cat more interested in eating their food.
Big cats including tigers and lions like catnip just like domestic house cats.
They make funny faces because it tastes bad. Catnip is a type of tea that many cats find intoxicating.
I think all cats like catnip, regardless of gender.
