6-9-11>>> For the year 1921 two silver dollars were issued and each is a separate series of dollar coins and the designs are very different. Morgan dollars were issued from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921, the obverse (front) of the coin has a portrait of Miss Liberty with the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM above her head, on the reverse the eagle has its wings spread out. The Peace dollar was also issued in 1921 to 1928 and 1934 & 1935 the obverse of this coin has the word LIBERTY above Miss Liberty's head and on the reverse the eagles wings are folded and it's standing on a rock with the word PEACE on it.
The values between the two are very different.

The ASW (Actual Silver Weight) of the coin is .77344oz of pure silver. All Morgan an Peace dollars have this amount of silver.
There's no such coin. The Morgan name applies to silver dollars dated 1878-1904 and 1921 that were designed by G. T. Morgan. If you have a 1951 half dollar with a picture of Benjamin Franklin on it, it's worth about $6 to $7 for its silver content.
Although their popularity never caught on with the general public, at least sincethe early 20th Century, there have actually been quite a number of coins thatequal a US DOLLAR.They include:The 1804 dollarSeated Liberty dollar (1836-1873)Gold dollar coins (1849-1889)Trade dollar (1873-1885)Morgan dollar (1878-1904; 1921)Peace dollar (1921-1935; 1964)Eisenhower dollar (1971-1978)Susan B. The Peace dollar, minted from 1921 to 1928 weighed approx 0.262 Newtons.
It's a small "CC" on the back above the ONE in ONE DOLLAR. Other possible mint marks on Morgan dollars are O (New Orleans), S (San Francisco), D (Denver, 1921 only) or none at all (Philadelphia) See the link for a pic.
