Well this is usually very confusing and alot of people say it is 100. Behalf of that the most specific and revelant answer is that basically, it is 1000. Remember the trick in how many ml=1l just use the chronological order! So:
1 km = 1,000 m
1 m = (1/1,000) = 0.001 km

1 km = 1000 m so 0.001 km = 1 m
we know that by unit and measurement we get that , 1 km =1000 m 1 m =0.001 km
1 km = 1000 m, so 7.9 m = 0.0079 km
1 km = 1000 m ⇒ 5.1 km = 5.1 x 1000 m = 5100 m
1 km = 1000 m Therefore, 4 km = 4000 m
1 km = 1000 m so 0.001 km = 1 m
500 m = 0.5 km = 1/2 km
we know that by unit and measurement we get that , 1 km =1000 m 1 m =0.001 km
1 km = 1000 m So 104 km = 104000 m
1 km = 1000 m, so 7.9 m = 0.0079 km
1,000 m equals 1 km because the kilo in kilometer stands for one thousand.
1,000 m = 1 km7,000 m = 7 km
1 km = 1000 m ⇒ 5.1 km = 5.1 x 1000 m = 5100 m
1 km = 1000 m Therefore, 4 km = 4000 m
1 km = 1,000 m 7.2 km = 7200 m
1,000 m = 1 km 2,000 m = 2 km 3,000 m = 3 km 6,000 m = 6 km 9,000 m = 9 km.
1 km = 1000 m 0.46 km = 0.46 x 1000 m = 460 m
