Velocity = Distance /Time, therefore Distance = Velocity x Time.

Let the time taken by the truck be H hours.

Then the car has taken H - ¼ hours (15 min = ¼ hour)

Both vehicles will have travelled the same distance. So,

56 x H = 64 x (H - ¼) = 64H - 64/4 = 64H - 16

56H = 64H - 16

8H = 16 : H = 2 hours.

As H = 2 then the time taken by the car is H - ¼ = 1¾ hours (or 1hr 45 minutes)
