It's the same weight
A kilogram is a kilogram, no matter what.
He will have 13 blue marbles and 10 green marbles.
A kilogram of sand takes up less space than a kilogram of air, because sand is more dense than air. A kilogram of sand takes up more space than a kilogram of gold, because sand is less dense than gold.
You have to pick them up
Because there was plenty of space between the marbles.
pour in water. The water will fill in the space that the sand is leaving open. This "open area" would not exists if the sand was taking the shape of it's container. alternately, use a bunch of marbles. Sand is not much different then a marble other then in size. The marbles can show on a larger scale what is happening with the sand.
10 Green marbles, 13 Blue marbles.
Shear strength of fine sand is determined by the angularity of the sand particles, the grading of the sand. These two features governs the critical state shear strength parameters of the sand. Density, however, dictates the peak shear strength of the sand. i.e. the denser the sand, the higher the peak shear strength. But the critical shear strength remain the same. The denser the sand, the lower the void ratio. Shear strength of fine sand is determined by the angularity of the sand particles, the grading of the sand. It depends on the size of the marbles and the dimensions of the one liter container. Most likely the sand would fill the void space between the marbles and the mixture would have a volume of one liter or slighty more.
Yes. Obsidian is denser than water.

Yes. Cold air is denser than warm air and thus the troposphere is denser in the winter than in the summer.
Yes, the Earth is much denser than our sun.
EVERYTHING except hydrogen is denser than helium.
Vinegar is denser than water because vinegar is made of different substances that are denser than water, so that means vinegar is a little denser than water.
