A three sided trangle
pyramid (not including the vertex) Prism
Any. You can have a triangular pyramid (tetrahedron), a rectangular one, a pentagonal one, and so on. Similarly, you can have a triangular prism, a rectangular prism, and so on.
a prism is constructed from two parallel and congruent regular polygons. with vertices joined by edges of length equal to that of the polygons a pyramid has a square base and has 4 triangle joining at a vertex above the centre of the square base. the triangles are isosceles triangles (and can even be equilateral)
They are both polyhedra. Both have at least one hexagonal face. A 6-pyramid has only one hexagonal face, a 6-prism has 2. A 6-pyramid has only 7 face, a 6-prism has 8. A 6-pyramid has only 12 edges face, a 6-prism has 18. A 6-pyramid has only 7 vertices, a 6-prism has 12.

a prism has two bases, while a pyramid only has one.
A prism isa polyhedron- that is, 3-dimensional shape bounded by polygons. It has two parallel bases that are identical polygons. The corresponding sides of these polygons are joined together by quadrilaterals.A pyramid is also a polyhedron. It has a polygonal base of n sides and n triangles, attached to each of the sides of the polygon, that meet at an apex above [or below] the plane of the polygon.AA prism isa polyhedron- that is, 3-dimensional shape bounded by polygons. It depends on the shape. The top of a pyramid will be a point (the apex). The top (and bottom) of a prism or an antiprism will be congruent polygons.
