No they are not the same and are not interchangable. The .308 is slightly smaller than the 7.92.
When speaking of ammunition it is imperative to be precise with your numbers. The .308 Winchester is interchangable with the 7.62 NATO military round
No, 7.62x39 is different from 308 ( aka 7,62 NATO or 7,62x51 or 308 Winchester ). The 7.62x39 used to be the Russian official cartridge for almost 50 years and is shot by rifles such as Simonov or Kalashnikov. 39 mm. is the lenght of the case and the round normally fits a bullet wighing 168 grains. The 7.62x39 is about 2/3 as potent as 308, developing power level in the range of 1200 - 1600 ft.lbs, while 308 can reach peak powel levels of 2500 ft.lbs Anyways, be sure to never take one of those pills into your back.... potent or not, it could be painful !!!
None... it is the same sized bullet (.308 diameter). You have to choose the selection of bullet when reloading 30-30 ammo for the type of bullet. A pointed bullet in a tubular magazine can present a problem when the rifle recoils. The ammo is not interchangable, you must shoot the ammo that the rifle was chambered for.
None. Unless it has been rebored to another caliber. Most unlikely.
