I now understand why this question on a very popular shotgun has remained unanswered. I am looking at 2 different references for Brownimng s/n's and although they both say the same thing I'm still a little confused. (But here goes) The "T" implys that this is a standard weight gun (not the lightweight "sweet 16" which had an "A" prefix). If I'm reading this correctly the "T" & "A" prefixs were only used for 2 years 1957 & 1958. Serial #1300 in this sequence (either T or A) was shipped 12/31/57 and s/n 10900 was shipped 4/30/58. Other desnignations & s/n's were used prior to and after these dates.

When performing division, the first answer (the quotient) is typically written above the dividend, aligned with the digit being divided. If the division involves larger numbers, the placement depends on the position of the digits involved.
