Wash the affected skin area thoroughly, and then gently apply a small amount of the ointment as a thin film. You may cover the area with a sterile gauze dressing. Do not apply mupirocin more frequently or for a longer period than as directed.Special Instruction :1. Do not apply mupirocin to your eyes.2. Do not apply mupirocin to burns unless directed to do so by your doctor.3. Increased absorption of one ingredient of this ointment could occur and cause harmful effects.4.
