No. If you use the formula C=2(pi)(r) This mean you multiply pi=3.14 as an approximation ( if you want to find what pi equals for the question then go ahead and find both the diameter and circumference then divide the diameter by the circumference and that's what you use for pi for that problem) OK back to the question you multiply pi by 2 ( use 3.14 for pi) then once you get the product of pi times 2 then you multiply that by your radius. That's what that means. Hope you understand it if not just ask me and I'll try to explain in another way. (:
Since the formula for the volume of a cylinder is PI time the radius squared times the height we can calculate the height from the other two values. The height is the volume divide by PI times the radius squared.
You mean circumference. It is pi multiplied by radius squared. So whatever the radius is times itself (or "squared") times 3.14 (pi). If the diameter is given, divide by 2 to get the radius and times the radius by itself. For example: diameter=10 radius=5 5x5=25 25x3.14=78.5... The circumference of the circle is 78.5 and then the units of measurement
You will get pi since area of a circle equals pi* times radius squared....by Mona Martinez
Area of a circle is pi x radius squared. Diameter is radius times 2. To get radius just divide the diameter by 2. 3.35 divided by 2 is 1.675. Pi x 1.675 squared is approximately 8.81413.
The area of a circle is pi times (radius squared) Thus if radius is one inch then area is (pi) times (1) times (1) = pi = 3.1416 inches squared
Divide by pi to get the diameter. Divide the diamater by 2 to get the radius. Pi times radius squared.
The volume of a cone is 1/3 pi times the radius squared times the height. When given the volume and height divide both sides by the height. Volume divided by height is equal to 1/3 times pi times the radius squared. Now divide both sides by 1/3 pi. This will leave you with the radius squared. Take the square root of both sides and you will get the radius.
Since area equals Pi times radius squared take and substitute what is known. 345 equals Pi times the radius squared. divide Pi into both sides for 109.8 equals the radius squared. Now take the square root of 109.8 to get an r of 10.47936 cm.

Since the area of a circle is (Pi)times(Radius squared) then you would reverse the process to find the radius, and hence, the diameter. Divide the area by Pi (3.14159...) and you would have the radius squared. Take the square root of that and you have the radius. To get the diameter, multiply the radius by 2.
A= Area of the circle¶= Pi (About 3.14)r= Radius squared (Radius times radius)3.14 * Radius squared
divide the diameter of 25.6 by 2 to find the radius. The radius is 12.8. The formula to find the circumference is radius squared times pi. 12.8 squared is 163.84 and multiplied by pi is 514.7.. So Circumference = 514.7 The above computation gives the AREA of the circle, not the CIRCUMFERENCE. The CIRCUMFERENCE is 2 times the radius times pi, or the diameter times pi.

In a circle it means Radius squared In other words it means the radius times itself
