There is the metric system and the something system i cant remember im only 7 Metric & Imperial. Metric system uses multiples of 10 and has units such as Kilograms, Meters and Litres etc. The Imperial system has units which build up to multiple units in unusual ways. For example 12 inches make a Foot. 3 Feet make 1 Yard and 1760 Yards make 1 Mile. 16 ounces make 1 Pound. 8 Pints make 1 Gallon etc
