2. Get a bowl with enough water to cover the cube; mark the level of the water; submerge the cube in the water and mark the new level of the water. The volume of the cube is the volume between the two marks - this can be measured by removing the cube and using a measuring jug to measure the amount of water that is needed to be added to raise the water from the first mark to the second mark.
