The question doesn't make sense, as the centimetre is a measure of length and a square metre is a measure of area. You probably meant "How many square centimetres in 1 square metre?" There are 100 centimetres in a metre. A square metre is 1 metre by 1 metre, or 100 centimetres by 100 centimetres, i.e. 100 cm × 100 cm = 10,000 cm2.

There are 100cm x 100cm = 10000cm2 (ten thousand square centimetres) in 1m2.
