When I taught pupils their tables (meaning their multiplication tables) it was not sufficient to chant them out in the usual way. I would also ask them to say their tables in reverse, so that after saying "and 12 threes are 36" they would next say "11 threes are 33, 10 threes are 30, 9 threes are 27", and so on down to "and 1 three is 3".
Say them every day. I used to say mine in bed (before my prayers>) Hope that helps.

Just learn them.
55 and its multiples. 1, 5, and 55 are all in both the 5 times and 11 times tables.
The answer is 12. There are four threes in twelve. It is best to learn your times tables--once you know the answer by rote, it is always easier.
