How can one always be thankful?

To be thankful, one must know that everything good come from God. In the book of James, chapter 1, verse 17, we are told that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights...

So, in order to be "always thankful," we must continually learn that God gives us everything - our food, clothes, houses; our family and friends; our understanding of learning, our...you name it.

I think the secret is to thank God for the little things that we often take for granted, the things just mentioned above. That will lead to a thankful-to-God habit in us.

Also, thank God for seeming to stir in your spirit the need to be thankful.
