Data from many sources (e.g. primary care records, clinical trials, observational studies, etc) are analysed to create medical statistics. These statistics are then collected and evaluated to ultimately improve medical practice.Medical statistics are usually collected by gathering the relevant published articles which contain them. The main problem that can arise from this is that the articles may be selected in a particular way, for example only articles favouring a particular outcome may be selected, which would bias the evaluation of the evidence. Systematic reviews are designed to reduce the chance of this, however they may not eliminate it. Meta-analyses can be conducted to combine the statistics from several sources, but meta-analyses also have their problems.Keep up to date with problems associated with statistics at http://biostatistics-news.blogspot.com/

If X produces 8000 articles in 4 hours, it produces (8000/4) = 2000 articles per hour. If Y produces 8000 articles in 8 hours, it produces (8000/8) = 1000 articles per hour. Therefore, the total number of article produced in six hours is: 2000+1000+2000+1000+2000+1000=9000. Machine X (which is on in the seventh hour then works for half an hour to produce 1000 more articles, so the total time is 6.5 hours.

A convention for a feature article would be statistics, the techniques that show this convention are things like emotive language, descriptive language, dot points and text boxes. eg2. a convention for a short story could be senquence of events and the technique used to show this would be flashback. eg3. a convention in a documentary would be camera angles and technique would be medium close up or long shot etc. hope this helps :)
