#1 ; 4/5 to its equivalent fraction 8/10. . Then once over '10' the figure '8' becomes 0.8 Decimal.

Divide '5' into 4'

5)4.0000 (Note the added zeroes).

Five into four won't go . So the first part of the answer is '0.'

We now shift the decimal point one place to the right

Hence

5)40.0000 = 8

So the next part of the answer is '0.8'.

NB Since five goes into forty exactly eight times and no remainder. That is the end of the division.

Hence the answer us 4/5 = 0.8
