Calculate the sum of all your numbers and then divide by the number of numbers that you want to average.

For example:
Average the following numbers: 3,7,10,16

Sum: 3+7+10+16 = 36
Number of numbers: 4

Average = 36/4 = 9

How do you get the highest average of something or lowest and whats the difference?

In order to receive the highest average in something like baseball for example, you have to keep getting hits. The more hits that you get the higher your average will be. However if you strike out, pop out, ground out, or fly out then that will not be a hit and your average will go down. The difference of average is the frequency in which you do or don't do something a certain amount of times.
