How to calculate for 15' wide carpet
I used to teach this to flooring people & I can give you the long answer or the short.. The Short is better unless you are trying to learn it for a living..
First trick of the trade.. When you measure always round up to the next foot.. Ie 13'7" just write down 14' & do your calculations in full numbers.. we all make fewer mistakes that way and it builds in a bit of cushion for miscuts & out of square rooms.
Second trick: when you measure, Measure all the way to the wall or through the doors if that is farther.. some measure to the molding & that is never enough...

In my opinion, this is a easy math question. Just multiply 12 times 15 to get your answer: 180 sq ft
15ft = 5yd 20ft = 6.7yd Area of the room's floor = 5yd x 6.7yd = 33.5yd2 $6.95/yd2 x 33.5yd2 = $232.82
15ft x 20ft= 5yards x 20/3yards 100/3 sq yards =33.3333333333 sq yards
180 inches
15ft+12.5ftft+15ft+12.5ft=55ft P=55ft
