The question is regarded as, "How do you change a fraction into a mixed number ?
An improper fraction (where the numerator is greater than the denominator) can be converted to a mixed number by finding the whole number quotient and then expressing the remainder as the numerator of a new fraction using the original denominator. If possible, either the original fraction or the remainder fraction should be simplified.
EXAMPLE : 152/17 = 816/17
EXAMPLE : 46/4 = 112/4 ....this can be simplified to 111/2
By dividing the denominator into the numerator
First, turn the mixed number into a improper fraction. Then change the improper fraction into a decimal. Then, change it into a percent by moving the decimal point two spaces to the right. Ex: .10 is 10%
5/1008
Mixed fraction: 1 44/100 Decimal: 1.44
Say the decimal out loud to yourself, and the way it sounds will be the fraction. If it is an improper fraction, I'm guessing you know how to change it to a mixed number. For example, if it was .25, then it would be 25 over 100.
I don't think you can but, you can change an improper fraction to a decimal.
To convert a fraction to a decimal, you divide the numerator by the denominator - on a calculator, or using long division.
By dividing the denominator into the numerator
175: as a decimal = 175.0 as a mixed fraction = Ideally, it can't be converted into a mixed fraction.
First, turn the mixed number into a improper fraction. Then change the improper fraction into a decimal. Then, change it into a percent by moving the decimal point two spaces to the right. Ex: .10 is 10%
You can times the number by 100 and get your answer
To change a whole number with a decimal into a fraction, you take the decimal and put it into a fraction in simplest form. Let me give you an example so you understand better: 13.678 = 13 678/1000 = 13 339/500. You change it to a mixed fraction.
Divide out the fraction ie 5/8 = 0.625 (decimal form), then multiply with your existing mixed number (assuming its a decimal) > If its a fraction and a mixed fraction however, change the mixed fraction to vulgar fraction first then multiply tops and bottoms, to reveal final fraction ie 5/8 * 1 3/4 becomes 5/8 * 7/4 multiply tops and bottoms = 35/32 change back to mixed fraction = 1 3/32
If you know how to turn a mixed number into a fraction and a fraction into a decimal do that then make it negative.
