First of all you need to have an improper fraction. My improper fraction is 100/50

Second of all you need to know how many times does the denominator go into the numerator: In this case the denominator goes into the numerator 2 times (to check just go: 50x2=100)

Lastly, you write your answer where it needs to go on your paper.

If there are remainders just use it like this: If my remainder is 2 i would do 2/50 and convert to simplest form (1/25)
