We cannot divide Fahrenheit to Celcius, but we can convert from one to the other (both ways) to find the equivalent temperature on either scale.

Why not use the formula to convert from Celsius to Fahrenheit (or the other way round), to convert both temperatures to the same scale. Then you can easily compare them.
Are we talking nanometres? 1 nanometre is one BILLIONTH of a metre. Engineers choose a scale of measure that is proportionate to what they are measuring. Nanometres on a subatomic scale, light years on a cosmic scale. Certainly you can convert one to the other but it is of little use. To convert nm to feet. Feet to metre multiply by 0.3048. A nanometre is one billionth of that. One billion in numbers is 1,000,000,000.

1/16 convert to engineering scale, 1 divided by 16 = 0.0625" 0.0625" (architectural) divided by (12 in/feet) (to convert to engineering scale) = 0.0052" in engineering scale

To convert Shore scale C to Rockwell scale C, there is no direct formula as they measure hardness differently. Shore scale C measures indentation hardness while Rockwell scale C measures depth of penetration. These two scales cannot be directly converted into one another.

the scale is two #s that one is the least and the other is the greatest
One (M2) is a measure of Volume, and the other (M) is a measure of Length. You can not convert one measure into the other. Just like you can NOT convert Quarts into Feet.
